Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within your designated territory by developing new business opportunities and managing existing accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales, account management, and business development in the heavy equipment industry.
Duties
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve territory sales targets.
- Identify and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation techniques.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits of our products and services.
- Manage existing accounts by providing ongoing support and upselling additional products or services, as appropriate.
- Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales performance.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales in the heavy equipment industry.
- CDL license.
- Ability to travel with overnight stays - 10%-15% of the time.
- Strong account management skills with a track record of building long-term client relationships.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and identify opportunities for growth.
- Ability to conduct effective product demos that resonate with potential clients.
- Experience in direct sales, inside sales, or retail sales is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
