Duties
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment and municipal machinery.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on compact track loaders, sweepers, refuse truck equipment, and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and control systems.
- Perform fabrication work including welding, cutting, and modification of equipment components.
- Repair structural components, mounting brackets, and attachment interfaces.
- Assist with installation and configuration of specialized equipment or customer-specific modifications.
Experience
- Experience working on heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or municipal fleet equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and mechanical repair.
- Experience with welding and fabrication preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment systems.
- Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for testing and diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
