Harding Loevner is seeking a Graphic Design Summer Intern to support the firm’s Content team. This team is responsible for creating informative and engaging content about the firm’s investment process and products, producing marketing collateral and regulatory materials, and coordinating communications through our website and social media.The intern will support the Content team on a variety of creative projects and production of marketing materials. Opportunities for learning and direct contribution to projects are available in a range of mediums including print, web, presentation, and video with specialized design topics including storytelling with data, UI/UX design, and print production. This role will interest candidates who are both artistically creative and intellectually curious.Responsibilities and learning opportunities include:Flowing text and imagery into templated print-style layouts in InDesignDesigning presentation layouts with data-based graphics with PowerPointConcepting lead-image and infographics for written and video content for the web and social mediaEnsuring internal communications are visually engaging and align with the brand and company cultureEnsuring brand compliance and consistency across materialsRequirements:A third- or fourth-year student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or a related visual communication fieldProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. XD familiarity is a plusStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office, primarily PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for chart and data graphic creation and designExperience with designing for the web. Familiarity with coding languages a plusPortfolio of work that demonstrates creative problem-solving and ideas with strong attention to detailInterest in Data visualization and infographicsThe hourly rate for this position is $30.
