The Dean of Instruction leadership role requires a student-centered and results-driven educator who is committed to fostering a high-achieving and supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will provide instructional leadership by evaluating and coaching teachers, ensuring the implementation of rigorous and effective instructional practices. Additionally, the Dean of Instruction will collaborate with the leadership team to align instructional priorities with the school’s academic and behavioral goals. Instructional Leadership and Coaching
  • Provides ongoing instructional coaching and feedback to teachers to enhance classroom practices.
  • Designs and facilitates professional development sessions based on best instructional practices.
  • Supports teachers in implementing research-based teaching strategies aligned with school goals.
  • Observes instruction to ensure alignment with school and district expectations.
  • Collaborates with school leaders to maintain a shared instructional vision.
Curriculum and Assessment
  • Ensures adherence to the backward design model of Curriculum – Assessment – Instruction.
  • Oversees the implementation of Common Summative Assessments (CSAs) and Common Formative Assessments (CFAs).
  • Guides teachers in developing and adjusting curriculum pacing to align with state standards.
  • Uses assessment data to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes.
  • Monitors curriculum alignment and provides resources to support effective instruction.
Teacher Support and Development
  • Facilitates Impact (PLCs) to promote collaboration and shared best practices.
  • Provides mentoring for new and developing teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness.
  • Uses student achievement data to drive targeted professional development opportunities.
  • Encourages reflective teaching practices through coaching and structured feedback.
  • Supports teachers in implementing differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Salary : $51,521 - $77,000
