What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead (Part-Time) position at Hardin-Simmons Bookstore?
The Team Lead works closely with the Store Manager to receive, price, and stock merchandise to meet the needs of the store's customers and drive sales and profits. Acts as leader on duty, responding to customer and team member concerns in the absence of the Store Manager, opening and closing the store, and ensuring all bookstore property and team members are safe and secure.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process shipments
- Re-filling merchandise on sales floor
- Daily cleaning tasks
- Special projects as needed
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and professionalism
- Organizational skills to effectively manage team schedules, projects, and deadlines
- Ability to effectively manage stock levels and inventory control
This position requires a motivated individual with strong leadership qualities. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a supervisory role, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask. A background in retail and customer service is required.

Our store hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. Some weekends and evenings will be required for sporting events and campus events. All football games are mandatory.
