HVAC Commercial Installer — Job Description

Job Title: Commercial HVAC Installer

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial HVAC Installer t. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing commercial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and be comfortable working on construction sites, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, package units, air handlers, heat pumps, and exhaust systems.
• Install and connect ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drains, controls, and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and HVAC installation specifications.
• Perform equipment rigging, setting, leveling, and securing as required.
• Complete electrical and low-voltage connections within the scope of applicable codes and qualifications.
• Assist with system startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning.
• Identify installation issues and make necessary adjustments or corrections.
• Follow all applicable building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and job sites in a safe and organized condition.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, electricians, plumbers, and other trades.
• Complete installation work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
• Document completed work and communicate project status or issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial HVAC installation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and HVAC controls.
• EPA 608 certification preferred or required depending on job responsibilities.
• Ability to safely lift equipment and materials and work from ladders, lifts, and rooftops.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry HVAC materials and equipment.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, mechanical rooms, elevated areas, and outdoor conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
