Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and modifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to perform precise electrical work.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems integral to industrial automation processes.
- Conduct wiring for high voltage and low voltage systems, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed on construction sites.
- Perform renovation work by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure in various building types.
- Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpentry and general contractors to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately for efficient project execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA guidelines and company safety policies throughout all phases of work.
- Assist with maintenance person tasks related to electrical systems or minor construction needs when required.
- Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to verify circuit integrity and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Requirements
- Valid state-issued Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license with active certification.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of NEC codes.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high voltage (HV), low voltage (LV), and schematics interpretation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, power drills, wire strippers, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other electrical testing devices.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong understanding of renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications within existing structures.
- Ability to perform frame carpentry or maintenance person tasks as needed for comprehensive project support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with meticulous attention to detail for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
