We are seeking a highly skilled critical care Nurse Practitioner (NP). This is more than a career—it's a calling.
You will work alongside nationally recognized physicians, transplant centers, ICU teams, and donation professionals while helping maximize every opportunity for life-saving organ donation.
About the Role
You will serve as an advanced practice provider responsible for directing the comprehensive medical management of organ donors across Southern California. You'll collaborate closely with the Medical Director and function as a trusted expert in donor optimization and organ recovery.
This highly autonomous role combines advanced critical care practice, donor management, education, and clinical leadership while serving as a key clinical resource to hospitals, transplant centers, and OneLegacy's multidisciplinary teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead comprehensive medical management of potential and authorized organ donors
- Optimize donor physiology to maximize organ viability and transplantation opportunities
- Partner with donor hospitals, transplant centers, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Perform advanced clinical assessments and evidence-based donor management interventions
- Support organ recovery activities and provide expert clinical oversight
- Mentor and educate hospital staff and OneLegacy clinical teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and clinical education
- Ensure compliance with CMS, OPTN, FDA, and organizational standards while advancing clinical excellence.
Qualifications include:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP program
- National NP certification
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum three years of recent critical care experience as an NP or Advanced Practice Provider
- Experience caring for critically ill adult patients in ICU, trauma, neurocritical care, or cardiothoracic critical care environments
