What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at Hard Eight Pit BBQ?
Summary: Prepares food needed for to-go, pickup, line, delivery, and catering orders. Works at constant speed to ensure orders go out at appropriate time. Maintains communication with line to keep fried items stocked. Follows orders and thinks ahead to prepare for the next day by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares hot and cold food items.
- Communicates with line/to-go staff, pit staff, and management about order and ready times
- Cooks necessary food items to prepare for future needs.
- Handles raw foods such as chicken and beef.
- Washes dirty dishes.
- Wiping down counters/sanitize area
- Maintains clean area at all times.
- Organizes walk-in cooler and freezer.
- Reads catering, pickup, and to-go orders and takes necessary steps to prepare required food.
- Assists in taking food trays to line.
- Assists pit area by putting dishes away.
- Assures cleaning schedules are completed
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Hard Eight BBQ started in 2003 with the first location in Stephenville, TX. Since then we have opened 4 other locations in the DFW metroplex. Hard Eight BBQ is an authentic eating experience where we serve "Texas Style BBQ" straight from our serving pit.
