Security Officer

Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club is seeking a professional, dependable Unarmed Security Officer to staff a very busy gatehouse at a private gated residential community. This position is customer-facing and requires very strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Type- 11pm-7am Wednesday through Sunday— Monday and Tuesday off. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Control and monitor vehicular and pedestrian access through the community gatehouse
• Verify resident, guest, vendor, and contractor credentials
• Operate access control systems, visitor management software, and gate equipment
• Provide courteous, professional interaction with residents, guests, and service providers
• Enforce community rules, policies, and access procedures
• Observe, report, and document unusual or suspicious activity
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when necessary
• Maintain accurate logs and reports

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid Florida Class D Security License (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior gatehouse, security, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to multitask in a high-traffic, high-pressure environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Basic computer skills (access control systems, email, reporting)
• Ability to stand, sit, and work outdoors for extended periods in South Florida weather
• Must pass background check and drug screening
