What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Front Desk position at HARBOUR RIDGE COUNTRY CLUB?
Job Summary: Handle customer inquiries both in person and on the phone, and provide information and assistance to members, staff and guests according to established procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Provide immediate attention to all members/guests upon their arrival to the Fitness Center with a friendly and positive attitude. Greet and bid farewell properly by name to all Club members and guests by smiling and making eye contact.
- Assist callers with information requested. Forward calls to the appropriate party and/or take messages.
- Assist members with the health history/consent, waiver and liability paperwork to ensure that it is filled out completely and correctly.
- Send out physician referrals when appropriate and follow up with offices that fail to send them back in a timely manner.
- Keep all member files up to date, ensuring that new paperwork is filled out when a change in health has occurred.
- Schedule members for requested services.
- Process tickets as services are performed and close out Jonas at the end of the day.
- Escort potential members through the facility giving them an overview of all provided services.
- Serve as a department point person for the point of sale system.
- Compose, type, proofread and copy memos and other documents.
- Maintain basic logs and perform data entry.
- Attend meetings as requested.

- Conduct the day-to-day operations of the fitness center in a business-like, ethical and professional manner.

- Maintain good working relationship with club members, employees and all customers.
- Operate office equipment, including copiers, facsimile machines and computers; input and retrieve data and text; and organize and maintain disk storage and filing.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
- Utilize a clear speaking voice in the English language.
- Maintain confidentiality of files and other documents.
- Dress appropriately for position; professional manner and well groomed.
- Establish and maintain a clean and professional workspace.
- Demonstrate record of good work attendance and reliability; regular and punctual in attendance.
- Demonstrate flexibility in work habits and work schedule.
- Use time effectively; complete work in a timely manner.
- Comply with company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook or as demonstrated as common practice.
- Seek to improve self in knowledge and skills.
