Job Description
Job Title : Registered Nurse
Job Specialty : Neuro ICU

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience; Previous neuroscience experience preferred but not required
License : Compact License or WA single state
Certifications : ACLS, BCLS
Must-Have : Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias (there will be a test), EPIC experience (preferred)
Job Description :
- Will be required to float within the hospital.
- Required skills include management of vents, ICP, telemetry, and conscious sedation.
- Preferred skills include IV start and level 1 trauma experience.
- The unit is a comprehensive stroke unit, primarily treating neuroscience patients with some medical and surgical overflow.
- The patient population includes conditions such as hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, aneurysms, vascular malformations, TBI, SCI, planned surgical tumor removal, ischemic stroke, seizure disorders, and neuro infections.
- Candidates must complete modules pre-start, with EPIC training during orientation.
- Successful candidates will need to take a Pass / Fail EKG exam, requiring an 80% to pass.
