What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender and Server position at Harborside Hotel - Portum Restaurant?
For this position we are looking for a bartender or a bartender/server who can deliver an exceptional bar and lounge experience for every guest.
Key Requirements:
A thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, barista, liquor and cocktails is required.
- A gracious, friendly, patient and helpful attitude towards guests
- Ability to multi-task
- Flexible schedule with full availability on days, nights and weekends
- Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
Responsibilites:
- Full bar service including wine, beer and crafted cocktails
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Inventory and bar supplies
- Making drinks in a quick and efficient manner
- Learn full coffee experience as barista
- Daily reporting of information for the restaurant manager
- Daily bartender reports
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively
- High school education or equivalent.
- Relevant experience
- Experience with Toast and OpenTable is great but not required
- Metro Washington DC market experience a big plus
Job Type: Part- and Full-time
Full and Part Time available. Weekend Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner shifts available.
