What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Host/Hostess - Summer 2026 Season position at HARBOR VIEW HOTEL?
As Harbor View Hotel enters its 135th year of providing memorable luxury services to our guests, we are seeking a Restaurant Host/Hostess for the 2026 summer season whom will work between our three (3) restaurants: Bettini, Behind the View and Roxy Pool Bar.
Position Dates: May - September
Employee Housing: Not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests in a polite and professional manner and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
- Other relative tasks assigned my Management.
Desired Qualifications:
- High energy, exceptional customer service and ability to work as a team
- Strong verbal communication skills to be able serve guests and accurately follow instructions
- Commitment to work 40 hours per week
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include early morning, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to repetitively stand, walk, bend, kneel, and ascend and descend stairs and lift over 20 pounds
- Authorized to work in the U.S. No J1 or H2B visa sponsorships available.
