Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on infant development, including sensory play, language acquisition, and motor skills enhancement
- Provide attentive supervision and care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences to build trust and partnership
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety standards in compliance with health regulations
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child abuse or neglect
- Administer first aid or pediatric first aid as needed, responding swiftly to emergencies with calm professionalism
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support individual developmental needs and promote social-emotional growth
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective child supervision techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid preferred)
- Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with compassionate caregiving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children in a professional manner
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on each child's unique needs and developmental stage
