Position Overview
HSL is seeking a skilled and motivated Foreman / Earthwork & Equipment Operator to help lead projects and drive company growth. This is a leadership role for someone who can manage crews, operate equipment, and execute projects from start to finish with professionalism and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew on-site to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, loaders, etc.) with precision
- Perform site work including grading, excavation, drainage, and base preparation
- Oversee hardscape installations (paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, etc.)
- Read and execute project plans and layouts
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to company standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hardscaping, earthwork, or related field
- Strong equipment operating skills
- Leadership or foreman experience preferred
- Ability to read site plans and elevations
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
- Reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Compensation & Benefits
- $25–$35 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience and skill level
