Job Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking servers to join our team at The Harbor Restaurant on Richland Chambers Reservoir. We have amazing views and regular, friendly clientele who tip well! As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring they have a positive and memorable dining experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome Guests: Greet guests warmly, asking about any special occasions and setting expectations for their dining experience.
- Take Orders: Accurately take food and drink orders from customers, answering questions about the menu when needed.
- Deliver Food and Drinks: Ensure food and beverages are served quickly, in the correct order, and at the appropriate temperature.
- Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Check in with guests during their meal to ensure everything is satisfactory, address any concerns or special requests.
- Upsell: Suggest additional items, specials, and promotions to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep tables, chairs, and dining areas clean and organized, including clearing dishes promptly after guests are finished.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with kitchen staff, hosts, and other servers to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.
- Handle Payments: Process transactions, issue receipts, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Follow Safety & Sanitation Standards: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food handling and cleaning protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must maintain a standard of personal cleanliness, including grooming, hygiene, and wearing clean, appropriate clothing.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
