We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. One on the Northside of Chicago and one on the Southside of Chicago. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate is proactive, knowledgeable in general building systems, and committed to providing excellent service to our residents.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.Inspect, diagnose, and repair building components such as lighting, doors, locks, walls, flooring, and appliances.Respond promptly and professionally to tenant maintenance requests.Maintain common areas and building grounds to ensure cleanliness and safety.Assist with unit turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and basic repairs.Work with outside vendors and contractors when specialized services are required.Keep accurate maintenance records and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and parts.Follow safety protocols and report hazards or potential building issues.Participate in after-hours on-call rotations as needed.QualificationsPrevious experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair techniques.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Good communication and customer service skills.Attention to detail and strong time management.Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation (if required).Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are a plus.Why Join UsCompetitive compensation: $45,000–$50,000 annuallyOpportunities for skill development and career advancementSupportive team environmentStable and growing property management company
