Duties:
- Perform painting tasks in construction projects, including both interior and exterior surfaces
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, and sanding them before applying paint
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
- Repair and restore damaged surfaces, including masonry and drywall
- Follow construction plans and schematics to ensure accurate painting specifications
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, to complete projects on time
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction painting or a related field
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring and estimating materials needed
- Familiarity with color theory and the ability to create harmonious color schemes
- Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment, such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of drywall repair and masonry work is a plus
- Maintenance Person skills, including frame carpentry, are highly desirable
