Overview
Well-established Everett marine supply and service business looking for a Service Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our service department.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments for repair services
- Maintain customer files and sales histories
- Maintain written and verbal communication with customers and staff
- Schedule all service work orders, ensuring timely and satisfactory completion
- Uphold a safe, clean, and secure work environment
- Ensure warranty claims are submitted and paid in a timely manner
- Work with port staff to coordinate boat launches
- Source subcontractors as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications
- Extensive experience working on all the different systems of a boat
- Comprehensive knowledge of boat engines, transmissions, and repair techniques (inboard engines)
- Professional communication in person, in writing, and over the phone
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Computer literate and ability to learn/adapt quickly
- Patience and understanding dealing with challenging customer situations
- Ability to get along with co-workers and maintain effective working relationships with staff
- Factory training a plus
Job Details
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Day hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
- Pay range: $28 to $40 per hour (depending on experience)
