Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Outagamie and Calumet Counties. We focus on empowering individuals, families, and communities through a range of services, including emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and outreach programs. The Opportunity:

Are you a strategic, relationship-driven fundraising professional ready to make a meaningful impact? We’re seeking a Fundraising & Grants Manager to lead and grow a dynamic fund development program that fuels our mission and deepens community engagement. This role blends strategic leadership and hands-on execution. In this role, you’ll design and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising plan, cultivate and steward donor relationships, and drive individual, corporate, and foundation giving. You’ll also manage grant acquisition, lead donor recognition efforts, and collaborate with leadership and the board to shape major gift strategies and fundraising events. This is a unique opportunity to blend creativity, strategy, and relationship-building to elevate our organization’s reach and sustainability.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·        Fund Development Strategy: Design, implement, and manage an annual fundraising plan that aligns with organizational goals and expands giving across individual, corporate, and foundation donors.

·        Donor Engagement: Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors and prospects, ensuring a personalized and mission-aligned donor experience.

·        Grant Management: Research, identify, and secure grant opportunities; manage the full grant lifecycle from application to reporting.

·        Donor Recognition: Coordinate and implement donor recognition programs and events to celebrate and retain supporters.

·        Database Management: Maintain accurate and timely records of all donor interactions, gifts, and acknowledgments in the donor database. Familiarity with Salesforce donor database is a plus.

·        Performance Monitoring: Establish and track fundraising metrics; support the CEO and board in evaluating the effectiveness of development efforts.

·        Board & Volunteer Engagement: Partner with board members, the CEO, and fundraising volunteers to identify, cultivate, and solicit charitable gifts.

·        Marketing Collaboration: Work with marketing to develop and distribute fundraising materials, including newsletters, appeals, and annual reports.

·        Event Planning: Lead the planning and execution of donor cultivation and stewardship events.

·        Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership on major gift strategies and annual fundraising budgets.

·        Organizational Representation: Serve as a key ambassador for the organization, building relationships that support long-term growth.


Location

This position is based in Appleton, WI with a general work week of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Occasional weekends and weeknights will be required in alignment with core responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·        Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for relationship-building.

·        Proficiency in donor database systems and fundraising analytics.

·        Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with high attention to detail.

·        Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with staff, board members, and volunteers.

·        CFRE certification a plus.
