Location: 77 Northeastern Blvd, Nashua, with in-state travel to Harbor Care properties using our vehicles
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm

You will work across sites to address maintenance needs, respond to issues, and contribute to a high-quality living environment for the individuals we serve.

- after three months, this position will also include on-call responsibilities every third week and weekend.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of Harbor Care properties while supporting client transportation needs. You will work across sites to address maintenance needs, respond to issues, and contribute to a high-quality living environment for the individuals we serve.
- Perform routine building maintenance, including painting, minor electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC support
- Maintain building interiors and exteriors, including cleaning, repairs, and seasonal groundskeeping (snow removal, lawn care, etc.)
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations promptly and effectively
- Complete work orders, documentation, and status reporting to supervisors
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
- Assist with material pickup, vendor coordination, and special projects as needed
- The safety and quality of housing for vulnerable populations
- Resident satisfaction and overall living conditions
- Responsiveness and efficiency of maintenance operations
- Client access to critical services through reliable transportation

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, records, or reporting requirements

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance, construction, or related trade experience
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Ability to travel between Harbor Care locations as needed
- Experience in residential or property maintenance
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience in human services, housing, or nonprofit environments
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to work with diverse populations
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations
- Maintain appropriate tools to perform job functions
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs as required
- Participate in team collaboration and staff meetings
- Participate in rotating on-call shifts after hours, on weekends and holidays.
