Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling machines, and paving equipment with precision and safety.
- Assist with site preparation by clearing land, grading surfaces, and leveling areas to meet project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Support construction activities by loading/unloading materials and assisting with excavation, trenching, and other groundwork tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently while working on active construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation hours, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, or similar machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating large vehicles like dump trucks or tankers.
- Construction site experience is highly desirable; familiarity with safety standards is essential.
- Ability to operate specialized machinery such as Caterpillar equipment or horizontal drilling rigs is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction processes including paving, grading, water trucking, and horizontal drilling techniques.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy loads when necessary.
