Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Superintendent based in Orlando, FL. The Construction Superintendent will oversee day-to-day construction site operations, including ensuring safety compliance, managing schedules, supervising subcontractors, and coordinating various project activities. Responsibilities also include monitoring project budgets, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and facilitating efficient communication between teams to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Oversee on site operations for commercial construction projects, whether it be horizontal/vertical new construction, build-out, renovation, or other
- Competently communicating with Harbco team members, architects, engineers, inspectors, and other members of a project
- Understand and coordinate trades of construction for a given project, including site, concrete, masonry, roofing, siding, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, framing, waterproofing, structural and other trades
- Having a keen eye to identify and resolve conflicts or non-compliance with regulations, standards, specifications or construction plans during or sometime in the future of construction, and an ability to propose a potential solution
- Organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
- Travel to one dedicated or multiple job sites
- Ensure that Harbco job safety standards are met
- Maintain an organized work space, whether it be in an office setting, company vehicle, or elsewhere
- Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure the schedule is generally followed
- Assisting in the needs required by Harbco affiliated companies
- Accepting and adopting feedback and adapt to a changing landscape and comfortably learn new skills
