We are seeking a skilled and compassionate IV Infusion Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering intravenous (IV) infusions, monitoring patients during treatment, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications. The IV Infusion Technician will work closely with medical assistants, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer IV Infusions**: Prepare and administer IV medications and fluids according to established protocols and physician orders, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- **Patient Monitoring**: Monitor patients during infusion therapy for any adverse reactions or complications, documenting vital signs and patient responses accurately.
- **Patient Education**: Educate patients and their families about the infusion process, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
- **Equipment Management**: Maintain and troubleshoot IV infusion equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely.
- **Record-Keeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including infusion details, medication administration, and any observed reactions or changes in condition.
- **Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with nursing staff, pharmacists, and physicians to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- **Infection Control**: Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to minimize the risk of infection and ensure a sterile environment.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in managing inventory of IV supplies and medications, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an IV therapy training program or certification preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in IV therapy or infusion services, is highly desirable.
- **Certifications**: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and any relevant IV therapy certifications.

**Working Conditions:**
The IV Infusion Technician will work in a clinical setting, which may involve exposure to infectious materials and the need to follow strict safety protocols. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8 to 5 PM
