The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting daily warehouse operations, and ensuring efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. This role ensures inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, proper documentation, and proactive communication with warehouse, operations, and purchasing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Maintain up to date and precise inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve inventory issues, including incorrect counts, misplaced items, or transaction errors.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to purchasing or operations.
- Assist with receiving, put away, picking, and shipping activities as needed.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled, stored, and organized.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.
- Prepare and maintain accurate logs, reports, and inventory documentation.
- Process inventory transactions such as adjustments, transfers, and returns.
- Track key metrics such as shrink, accuracy trends, and usage patterns.
- Work closely with warehouse leads, procurement, operations, and production teams to maintain inventory flow.
- Communicate shortages, delays, or quality issues promptly.
- Support audits and assist with implementing process improvements.
- Experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or supply chain environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required (weight based on company norms).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other inventory reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
