Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own vehicle to pick up and deliver packages along assigned routes
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs throughout each shift
- Maintain vehicle safety standards through regular inspections and adherence to traffic laws
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve issues promptly
- Manage heavy lifting tasks safely during loading and unloading processes
- Follow all safety protocols related to driving, moving cargo, and handling equipment like manual transmission vehicles
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with route driving expertise
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during deliveries
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmissions
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, moving supplies, and handling equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks (nice-to-have)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
driver certification preferred - Excellent driving skills with experience in commercial driving environments
