What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pet Care Technician -- Love Dogs position at Happy Tails Pet Resort?
Love working with dogs? Happy Tails Pet Resort is looking for part-time and seasonal Pet Care Techs to join our dedicated team!
Shift options may include:
- Weekday mornings or afternoons, ending by 7:30pm
- Weekend mornings, afternoons, or all-day shifts until 5:30pm
- No late evenings or overnights!
Some Pet Care Tech responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the Kennel facility, dog enclosures, Play Yards, and Bathing Room
- Moving dogs around within the kennel facility and Play Yards
- Supervising and monitoring canine behavior during play-time activities
- Taking photographs for Report Cards
- Performing daily kennel tasks such as cleaning, feeding, wellness checks, and dog bathing

Qualifications include:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more
- Must have own transportation, be punctual and dependable
- Must love and respect dogs; no fear of dogs
- Ability to recognize basic canine behavioral signs
- Power to stay calm and think clearly in stressful situations
- Friendly and professional manner with customers and co-workers
- "Team Player", follows directions, and is self-motivated
- Tolerance for working in extreme weather conditions and ability to bend, kneel, and stoop on a regular basis
- Kennel / Animal Care experience highly requested, but not required (paid on-site training for all new staff)
- Limited Vacations allowed during Peak Seasons (Memorial Day through Labor Day)
- Must be available to work most major Holidays (Holiday Pay is provided)
