We provide five weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays, anniversary bonuses, teacher appreciation bonuses, 40 additional hours of PTO pay, tuition discounts, and more! See more on our website.

We want the best, most nurturing educators for our students!

Experienced teachers: $21-$22
Lead teachers: $23 -$24 DOE experience/skill/degree.

$1 more per hour if bilingual in Spanish and English, after three month probationary.

Overview
We're looking for a positive, grounded, motivated preschool teacher who wants to grow into becoming a Lead Teacher and who LOVES working with children ages two through five! You must be comfortable covering all necessary tasks: we cook, clean, change diapers and help with potty training, we go outside for an hour or more EVERY DAY (except smoky weather), we lead circle time and educational activities, we comfort crying children, mediate peer interactions in an attentive and supportive way, and aim to prevent behavioral issues before they arise. We follow a lot of rules for a few different agencies (DELC, OHA, USDA, DHS), and have a schedule, curriculum, and program policies that all need to be followed to a T.

Someone highly efficient at multi-tasking, at engaging attentively with our students, fostering strong socio-emotional skills in children, in working as a team, and being trustworthy and dependable would probably be best suited for this position!

We're looking for someone highly competent who brings a lot of good to their place of work!

The right person would begin August 1st. Our application deadline for this position is June 11, 2026.

The owner has been working with children for 23 years and prioritizes a child-centered environment. Her values align well with the Pyramid Model and Conscious Discipline, and so we seek teammates who also align with them (or similar models that put the child's well-being first). If this sounds like you, please apply!

We are a home-based program with up to 16 children at a time, and three to four teachers. We have cats and dogs on-site that are kept separate from the school, but this may not be ideal for folks with allergies. We are also a secular program. Perfume-free environment.

Being available to substitute for another teacher Monday through Friday, 7:25-4:40 is REQUIRED. Please include which schedule you would prefer:

M, T, Th, F 8-4:30, 9-3:30, 9-4, or 9-4:30.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the systems we have in place already -the curriculum, our daily schedule and routines, our policies, etc.- while also bringing your own touch to your work with the children.
  • Employees work closely with the owner and must be able to take direction from her.
  • Teachers and Lead Teachers must understand and remember the rules of the Licensing Division that we have to follow and prevent licensing violations from happening at all times.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Assess and monitor each child's progress, providing early intervention when necessary to support their individual needs. We work closely with ECCares, as needed.
  • Assist the team in doing observations of our students and creating goal plans for them.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, their parents/families, and your colleagues to create a collaborative, uplifting educational community.
  • Incorporate special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • Engage children in hands-on activities that promote curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. We do a lot of cleaning all day, and this must be a strong suit for you!
  • Collaborate with fellow educators as needed to enhance the preschool program.
  • Be competent in supervising assistant teachers, visitors, and new staff members.
  • Uphold the integrity and quality of our program.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred, but not required. This is a very busy program and the ability to learn quickly is needed!
  • Experience is required for this particular position.
  • A strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education is necessary.
  • A nurturing and warm demeanor that the children trust and respond well to.
  • Respectful, trustworthy, and professional behavior only.
  • Ability to engage the children in ways that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent efficiency in multi-tasking, time management, and staying on task.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children are essential traits for success in this role.

Join us in shaping the future of our youngest learners through innovative teaching methods and compassionate guidance!
