Duties
- Lead engaging and developmentally appropriate activities tailored to toddlers and infants, promoting curiosity and learning.
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Monitor children’s behavior, providing positive guidance and implementing effective behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws.
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and infant/toddler care best practices.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to guide behavior positively.
- Effective communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while maintaining patience and compassion.
