Job Summary
MUST SPEAK MANDARIN
We are a thriving bilingual (Mandarin Chinese/English) family child care center at the heart of the Silicon Valley serving children aged 0-4 year old. We are looking for a full time Daycare Teacher and a part time Daycare Assistant to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children during lessons, meals, and playtime
- Assist the lead teacher in executing pedagogical objectives
- Prepare children for noon naps
- Teaching basic English and/or Chinese lessons and reading stories to children (at least twice a week)
- Greet parents during drop-offs and/or pick-ups
- Some administrative duties
Basic Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
- (At least) limited working proficiency in English
- Compassionate and love working with children
- Ability to keep track of multiple job responsibilities at the same time
- A growth mindset
Compensation: $23 to $26 per hour [based on experience and skills]
No prior experience required. Background/experience in early childhood education preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and classroom experience is advantageous
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hiring
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Commitment to creating a nurturing environment that supports childhood growth and learning
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
