Position Overview
We’re seeking a motivated, organized, and caring Assistant Director to support daily operations, staff supervision, curriculum implementation, family communication, and EEC compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day center operations and staffing
- Support teachers with curriculum, classroom management, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with EEC licensing standards and center policies
- Help with staff training, onboarding, and performance feedback
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratios
- Communicate effectively with families about children’s progress and center updates
- Coordinate events, staff meetings, and community engagement
Qualifications
- Must hold a Massachusetts EEC Director I (DI) Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Passion for creating a positive, developmentally appropriate learning environment
