A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DOG CARE TECHNICIAN
As an entry-level Dog Care Technician, you help us take care of each dog coming into our facility. Without you, we can't provide the excellent service that we promise. Primary duties include cleaning, supervising group play, giving one-on-one care, preparing/administering meals, helping make frosty paw treats, and giving pups nighttime cuddles! Your knowledge and dog handling skills come into play when keeping dogs calm, watching for stress signs, and analyzing other behaviors. You'll look forward to coming to work every day because you get to see our adorable canine guests, give belly rubs, get face licks, and play!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DOG CARE TECHNICIAN
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some colleges preferred
- Ability to work on and around holidays.
- Ability to work some nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and be on your feet for a minimum of 5 hours
- Ability to learn and independently operate various tools, equipment, and technology
- Love for all dogs and the smells, sounds, and silly behavior that comes with them.

WORK SCHEDULE
This pet care position is flexible and can be full- or part-time, depending on current staffing needs. We staff the facility 356 days per year, with day, evening, and night shifts available!
