Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor dogs during playtime to ensure safe interactions and prevent conflicts
- Assist with dog handling, animal restraint, and behavior management to promote positive socialization
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility by cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a sanitized environment
- Provide basic pet grooming and pet care services as needed to keep dogs comfortable and healthy
- Support pet boarding activities by feeding, walking, and administering medications under supervision
- Engage dogs in outdoor activities and exercise routines to promote physical health and mental stimulation
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behavior, health status, and special needs
Requirements
- Previous experience with veterinary assistance, veterinary technician work, or animal handling is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dog training techniques, pet sitting, or kennel experience is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely through team lifting practices; physical stamina for outdoor work
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards pet owners and visitors
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, pet grooming, and animal behavior understanding
- Experience in pet care facility sanitization and maintaining a clean environment
