We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team

Responsibilities
- Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
- Knowledge of long-term care practices, senior care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities
- Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on compassionate support and resident dignity
- Capable of managing behavior issues through positive support strategies and social work principles
- Physical ability to assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids; comfortable with cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene standards
