Their primary duties include expository teaching, working with existing youth programs and commitees at Happy Home Church, volunteer leadership, and equipping parents to guide their youth.
A youth pastor serves under the authority of the Lead pastor and the deacon Board of Happy Home Church.
Spiritual & Character Qualifications Biblical Standards: Must meet the requirements for an elder/overseer, including being above reproach, self-controlled, temperate, respectable, and hospitable.
Doctrinal Alignment: Must strictly hold to the theological framework and inerrancy of Scripture expected by Happy Home Church.
Family Leadership: If married, must be faithful to one spouse. Must manage their household well, with children who are respectful.
Christian Testimony: Must exhibit a mature, growing personal walk with Jesus Christ and have a good reputation both inside and outside Happy Home Church.
Core Duties & ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Preaching: Deliver sound, biblical doctrine to adolescents, often focusing on expository teaching and working with existing youth programs and commitees at Happy Home Church. Supply the pulpit of Happy Home Church during the absence of the lead pastor.
Discipleship & Mentoring: Build intentional relationships with students to guide them through adolescent challenges while holding them to biblical moral standards.
Parental Partnership: Actively communicate with parents, providing them with the resources and support to effectively fulfill their role as primary disciple-makers in their teens' lives.
Event & Program Management: Assist with the planning and overseeing youth group gatherings, local outreach, camps, and mission trips.
Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, vet, equip, and lead adult volunteer teams to assist with youth ministry.
Work Location: In person
