Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts.
- Supervise and engage children during playtime, activities, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and well-being.
- Foster a nurturing environment by providing emotional support and encouraging positive behavior management techniques.
- Monitor children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that adheres to health and safety standards, including proper sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with team members to plan special activities, educational outings, and developmental assessments.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral concerns.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to build trustful relationships with children and families.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and caregiving practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
