Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule appointments efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments with accuracy and professionalism.
- Manage health records, filing, and updating patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring proper coding with CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards for billing purposes.
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, answering inquiries, confirming appointments, and directing calls appropriately.
- Maintain medical records meticulously, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies.
- Support medical office management by coordinating care plans, processing referrals, and assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry using Microsoft Office tools.
- Assist in billing processes related to Medicare and health insurance claims while adhering to healthcare compliance standards.
- Perform clerical duties including filing, typing, data entry, and managing electronic health records efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Receptionist or in an office support role.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and health information management standards a plus.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and Medicare guidelines a plus.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Exceptional customer service skills with strong phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
