Puppy Care & Kennel Assistant
Location: Happy Farm Puppies LLC
We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and trustworthy team member to assist with the daily care of our puppies and adult dogs. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, observant, and able to work efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and animal care.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kennels, puppy areas, and equipment thoroughly.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail to ensure a clean, healthy environment.
- Observe puppies and adult dogs closely for any signs of illness, injury, or changes in behavior.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies or health concerns.
- Feed, water, and provide daily care for puppies and adult dogs.
- Bathe, groom, and prepare puppies for their new homes.
- Administer basic care as instructed.
- Assist with customer interactions, puppy pickups, and answering questions in a friendly and professional manner.
- Transport puppies to veterinary appointments and run business-related errands as needed.
- Help maintain organized records and communicate any concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience working with puppies or dogs is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with customers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and highly reliable.
- Honest, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Calm under pressure and able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work, including bending, standing, and cleaning for extended periods.
- Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and flexible hours when needed.
