About us
We're an established dog daycare and boarding facility with over a decade serving Macomb County. Our grooming department is newer and growing fast, backed by a large base of existing daycare and boarding clients. We're looking for a groomer who wants to help build something and grow with it.
What you'll do
- Perform full grooming services: bathing, drying, brushing and de-shedding, breed-standard and custom haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes, coat types, and temperaments
- Monitor pets for skin, coat, ear, or behavioral concerns and communicate findings to owners
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe grooming area and equipment
- Build lasting client relationships through professional, friendly communication and consistent results
- Keep accurate grooming notes and manage your appointment book.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional grooming experience (or completion of an accredited grooming program plus hands-on experience)
- Certification through a recognized program preferred — NDGAA, IPG, ISCC, or graduation from an accredited grooming school
- Proficiency with clippers, shears, and scissoring techniques across common breeds
- Existing client book strongly preferred — helps you and us through slower seasons
- Reliable transportation and residence within reasonable commuting distance of the facility
- Flexible availability, strong work ethic, and a positive, team-first attitude
- Comfortable working on your feet around dogs all day, able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Be able to manage proprietary software for record keeping and billing
Compensation
