Key Responsibilities
Client Account Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer needs, inquiries, and issue resolution.
- Monitor account performance and implement actions to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across target market segments.
- Develop and manage sales pipelines, from prospecting to closing.
- Manage contracts and proposals to achieve revenue and growth goals.
Sales Strategy & Market Research
- Design and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive positioning, and emerging sales opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to guide business decisions.
Marketing & Social Media
- Collaborate with leadership to create and manage a social media presence and digital campaigns.
- Create and leverage rudimentary marketing tools and content to support lead generation and brand awareness.
- Align sales and marketing efforts to strengthen overall market positioning.
Trade Shows & Sales Travel
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer meetings as assigned.
- Plan and execute trade show actions to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
- Travel a minimum of 60% of the time to meet with current customers, prospects, and partners.
- This position is based in our Oakland, CA headquarters. The candidate will maintain an office at headquarters for coordination of sales operations and other management activities.
Product Development Coordination
- Work closely with the factory and product development team to align customer needs with product offerings.
- Provide feedback to leadership on market demand, trends, and customer preferences.
- Ensure timely communication of product updates, launches, and innovations to customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, in the food industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to develop sales action plans and deliver results.
- Willingness to travel domestically to achieve sales results.
