Duties
- Supervise daily kennel operations, including feeding, cleaning, and maintaining the health of animals in our care
- Lead and motivate a team of kennel staff, providing training on dog handling, animal restraint, and day to day procedures.
- Coordinate pet care schedules and ensure timely delivery of personalized pet care services
- Oversee ORIENTATION sessions and assist with behavioral assessments to support individual animal needs
- Maintain accurate records of pet issues, needs, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to heavy lifting, animal handling, and facility sanitation
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ well-being and address any concerns professionally
Qualifications
- Proven experience in kennel management and animal care roles, including dog handling- at least 2 years.
- Background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of animal behavior management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients, and with staff
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Comfort working with animals including- dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, domestic pigs
- Demonstrated proficiency in animal restraint, handling multiple animals simultaneously, and maintaining safety standards
- Prior experience in pet sitting or veterinary assistance is preferred
