Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained throughout each project. Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, and mentor a team of carpenters and apprentices on various residential and commercial construction projects.
- Plan, organize, and execute carpentry tasks in alignment with project timelines and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and install wood, drywall, and other materials according to project requirements.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
- Provide direction and support to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety by enforcing safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
