What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baking Assistant position at Hapas Sushi and Poke?
We are looking for a full-time assistant baker to join our team! Must love sweets and be eager to fill our Coffee shop - Hale Kope with baked goodies!
Core Work Activities:
- Contribute ideas for new baked goods and desserts and work with the Pastry Chef
- Keeps the pastry case fully stocked with fresh baked goods
- Follow recipes, and have a solid mathematical foundation in order to properly scale ingredients.
- Manage the rotation of products to ensure freshness
Job Qualifications:
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in bakery production
- General understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Basic knowledge of how to produce muffins, scones, cakes, cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, etc
- Take pride in what you are baking, making, and decorating
