Job Description
The Data Analytics Specialist role involves formulate and implement solutions that will leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and improve business processes. This includes partnering and coordinate with stakeholders from Region North America, IT (Head Quarter) and potentially departments of other Regions to establish data-driven metrics, supporting strategic planning efforts and contributing to the organization's goals with minimum or zero supervision. The specialist utilizes its advanced knowledge in analytical techniques to extract insights from data, ultimately aiming to solve issues identified and enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. Additionally, part of its role involves create documentation, conduct training, and support internal customers ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to effectively utilize data-driven insights in their decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
Lead and participate as the regional expert for global/regional projects implementing solutions that leverages the use of data analytics tools (e.g. QlikSense, Databricks, Snowflake, Python, Alteryx, etc.) to increase team’s efficiency and reliability.
Manage and oversees cross-functional data analytics projects throughout the entire development cycle (from inception to production), ensuring that quality standards and deadlines are meet.
Participates in the definition of metrics to expand depth of analysis to improve internal processes and identify quantifiable business opportunities.
As regional expert, represent the interests of the region by defining business and user requirements for system changes and process enhancements, supporting projects across the different Regions and departments.
Gather system requirements for enhancements based on user feedback or observed system issues. Identify and test new system enhancements and provide recommendations where necessary to ensure detailed process requirements are met.
Proactively identify, coordinate, and conduct training to all stakeholders for new and existing data-analytics solutions under their ownership. Support training needs for other regions and countries as needed.
Foster a relationship of trust and cooperation with stakeholders, creating an atmosphere of knowledge and collaboration. Adheres to programming and documentation standards.
Provide expert advice and guidance to peers from other Regions as member of the Company’s Data Scientists Community, supporting Projects in other Regions to solve complex issues and formulate solutions, preventing duplicity and ensuring best practices are followed.
Effectively communicate findings and insights to upper management and internal stakeholders.
Keep up to date with the latest technologies and trends in data analytics to ensure the usage of cutting-edge tools and techniques available.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field.
Experience with ETL processes using Databricks, Snowflake, Alteryx (or similar)
Knowledge in programming languages is preferred (SQL, Visual Basic, Python, among others) is preferred.
Ability to successfully collaborate in a cross-functional environment and under minimal supervision.
Capable to analyze large datasets, being able to obtain insights from it, and to establish processes to update the analysis made on a periodic basis.
Has the ability to adapt according to changing business environments. Is flexible to changes in the department and the assignment of tasks.
Able to work on unfamiliar issues by applying a logical and systematic approach to analyzing and assembling relevant information from multiple sources.
Compose effective and professional written communications and documentation for non-routine and/or technical matters.
