Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to ensure satisfaction
- Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness of the host stand and waiting area
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or guest services is a plus, demonstrating hospitality expertise
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and hospitality standards is highly desirable
