Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PreK-Counts/Early Intervention Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment.
- Work directly with children to promote their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities.
- Help with classroom routines such as circle time, snack time, nap time, and transitions to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Collaborate with team members to adapt curriculum for children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and classroom activities.
- Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation, and maintaining cleanliness to create an inviting learning space.
Experience
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare, private school, or early childhood education setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies is highly valued.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy and math activities is desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to support positive student interactions.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities enhances your ability to support diverse learners effectively.
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues and engaging families.
