Position Overview:
Program Manager, Industrial Expansion is responsible for the oversight, coordination and execution of the various HDUSA efforts to expand shipbuilding industrial capacity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the effort to expand industrial capacity including strategy development and associated assessments, plans, budgets, and actions to achieve them.
- Forecasts potential issues and develops alternate plans.
- Regularly communicates with stakeholders to status / action plans, mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Regularly communicates with management regarding the program’s status, evolving opportunities and any risks or issues.
- Maintains an integrated expansion plan program schedule and updates same to address changing opportunities in shipbuilding programs.
- Prepares progress reports and updates to management on a timely basis.
- Responsible for industrial expansion related presentations and requests for information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Directs integration of technical activities and products.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Experience
- At least ten (10) years of industry-related experience.
- Three (3) years in management required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Understanding of US Defense landscape.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or other industry-related field required
- MBA preferred.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Professional experience in leadership roles.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use hands to finger, handle, and feel.
