Role Description: The Junior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based at Hanwha AeroTechnix’s Miami, FL facility. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including posting journal entries, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end closing activities. The Junior Accountant helps maintain accurate financial records, prepares basic financial reports, and supports budget tracking and expense monitoring. Responsibilities also include assisting with invoice verification, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, and collaborating with operations teams to resolve discrepancies. The role involves working with accounting software, organizing documentation for audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes in a fast-paced aviation environment.


Duties and Responsabilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
  • Prepare, verify, and post invoices for maintenance, repair, and overhaul services.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and general ledger balances.
  • Enter vendor invoices, match purchase orders, process payments, and track customer collections.
  • Assist in maintaining financial records, filing systems, and accounting documentation.
  • Record cash and digital daily transactions accurately into general ledgers.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections when necessary.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • File financial records, and answer basic vendor or client inquiries
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations to verify work orders and purchase orders.
  • Assist with inventory cost reconciliation for MRO parts and materials.
  • Generate financial reports and spreadsheets for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Experience in the aviation, aerospace, or MRO industry is an advantage.
  • Candidates should possess foundational accounting skills such as journal entry posting, account reconciliation, and basic financial reporting.
  • Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice review, payment posting, and collections support.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting and office software (e.g., Excel, accounting systems, email and document management tools).
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in working with numerical data.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, operations, and management teams.
  • Relevant qualifications such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field are preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality of financial information is required.


Experience Required:

· Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
