Operating out of four state-of-the-art facilities located in Connecticut, Hanwha Aerospace USA offers growth and career development opportunities to enrich your talents.The Hanwha Aerospace USA Quality Engineer will be responsible for all activities associated with the Quality function reporting directly to the Quality Manager.Location: East Windsor, CTReports to: Quality ManagerEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.Ensure process and procedures defined in the Quality Management System (QMS) are understood and followed as necessary to maintain Quality System ApprovalsLead / support internal and external audit activities (System, NADCAP, Customer, etc.) as required to meet requirements and maintain approvalsBe cognizant of Export Control requirements and controls, taking necessary steps to ensure export compliance at all timesDrive robust RCCA process with real time daily stand up Quality reviews, Elephant chart non-conformance tracking and SPC data collection / actionsDrive / support process improvements with on-time reporting of Quality KPI’s - driving YOY improvements in quality performanceManage all aspects of the Quality Planning / NPI / FAI process in line with the Quality NPI tracker to ensure on-time and completeness of Quality NPI requirementsContract Review (Customer PO, requirements, and drawings specifications)Ballooned drawings & associated documentsGaging reviews & special gaging requirements / purchaseGage R&R Studies KpC's understood, SPC Plan developedCreate IMS & FAI Templates in line with customer requirementsDevelop CMM Program using ballooned docsValidate / correlate CMM Program to IMSSecure special process approvals & NDTCoordinate customer submittals & approvals (Ex: ESA, VSE, DVI, PPAP) – utilize customer web portalsAttend customer training / attain customer certification for self- release programs such as PWA DQR, GE DSQRUtilize statistical software (Prolink) to establish, analyze and address quality process control data. Lead regular SPC review sessions with engineering and develop /implement action plans to drive continuous and sustainable process improvementsDrive / support robust RCCA process to prevent re-occurrences and provide a positive effect on non-conforming inventory (MRB) as part of daily stand workActive participant in the Company Continuous Improvement Program and Rapid Improvement Events (RIE’s)Performs other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.Participate in training as required5-10% Domestic Travel requiredRequirements:Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related field required2 years experience in a manufacturing environment required, aerospace preferredComputer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and AccessWorking knowledge of inspection techniques, quality engineering practicesUnderstanding of data collection and statistical process control (SPC) techniquesGood communication skills, capability of communicating effectively with engineers, shop personnel, management staff, suppliers and customersMust be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level AAP StatementHanwha Aerospace USA Corporation, is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Salary : $70,000 - $90,400
